For individuals

‘Business psychology experts OPP, have found that just 2% of the UK workforce are living the dream and doing the job they always wanted to, exposing a nation … this is unsatisfied and unfulfilled.’

Training Zone, July 2007

Do you ever feel out of your depth or stuck in the wrong job?
Ever wished you had a greater life purpose?
Do you want to make big changes or just consider the best options for yourself?

More and more individuals are asking themselves these questions every day, and have found that working with a career coach can really provide the answers they need.   As a client, you can expect major changes in just six to eight carefully tailored and individual sessions (see also 'Leadership and Coaching').

Working with us will include:

  • an initial discussion to see if coaching would be of benefit to you
  • a free sample session (if requested)
  • introductory material on ‘What is coaching?’ and ‘Initial questions’ for you to complete about yourself
  • regular reviews of progress
  • being matched with a suitably experienced coach

Your sessions will be held in person or over the telephone (it’s not always necessary for coach and client to meet, although this is encouraged from time to time).

Doing the groundwork

Sylvia had been successful in handling a variety of learning and development contracts for many years.  She was an experienced and accomplished manager, used to motivating and organising others, whether this was leading a team, in meetings or running conferences.  Deep down though she knew that this was not enough, and that she needed to go in a radically different direction.  Finding this direction was the challenge.

‘My coaching sessions with Carolyn have been stimulating, productive and enjoyable.  Carolyn was on all occasions a wonderfully positive influence, offering encouragement and clarity.  As a result of the sessions I’ve had the confidence to move in a new direction and to recognise my achievements.’

Sylvia Dannreuther, Cambridge

Sylvia now runs her own garden design and landscape business and is delighted to be able to spend most of her time outdoors instead of in an office.  She has successfully turned a hobby (and a secret passion), into a business.

‘Carolyn’s coaching has helped me to clarify what I want to do next at a key stage in my life.  The sessions provided me with the time and space to focus on, and articulate, what I really wanted to do.  They uncovered some things that were really important to me and allowed me to move away from some old ingrained habits that were, I think, holding me back.  A thought-provoking and very satisfying process – thank you!’
